New Year!

I can't believe it has been about three weeks since I last posted. I am living at home now which has been really good but a big change. Christmas break was amazing!! It went way to quickly! I went to Iowa, Winter Retreat with Joe's youth group, to Michigan to see Joe's family and back to Rockford again. Even a trip to Chicago somewhere in there too. I was able to see my good friend Michelle again which was amazing! It had been way too long!

I just started my internship on Monday and am loving it!! It was a little overwhelming the first day--but I feel like I am catching onto things quickly and really enjoying the patients. I have been working mainly in the Cardiac ICU and the Cardiac Critical Care units. It has been exciting to see progress in my own learning as the days have gone on and have even experienced a "code black" for tornado warning. It was my first day and we had to move most of the patients to the halls! Quite exciting for Day One.

This week was so challenging. I ended up getting a cold and an infection in my thumb..it was just one of those weeks...but yet I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my internship.

Tomorrow I go back to school for my first field placement seminar class--I am anxious to see friends in my class and of course Joe. I am also excited to make it to Naperville on Sunday for church. It is amazing to have the first week of internship behind me! It sure flew by! I am excited for this semester! It is amazing to see God leading me through every step of the way.
